A good burr grinder improves your coffee more than almost any other upgrade. Here are hand and electric grinders from budget to premium, with what each one is best at.

How to choose
- Choose burrs, not blades: blade grinders make uneven grounds that taste bitter and sour at the same time.
- For espresso you need very fine, small adjustment steps. Stepless or micro-step grinders make dialling in much easier.
- A hand grinder gives the best grind quality for the money. An electric grinder is faster if you make several drinks a day.
Each button opens an Amazon search for that product in your country's store, so you see what is available today and the current price. We do not list prices because they change daily. Some products may be sold under a slightly different name in your country.
